Bequested

From soul to soul wouldst have of me
Some token of mine loyalty?
When sooth to say, I cannot prove
What spirits in mine heart do move

If friendship is the candle's flame
Then I, the moth, must bare the blame
If drawn unto thy radiance
For friendship's sake, I risk the chance

Of fortune finding such as me
No comfort to thy company
For such I'd be, a stalwart friend
And thus remain, unto the end.
